February is American Heart Month!  Join us in learning about heart health and raising funds to protect all hearts – especially other kids! Through fun activities we’ll discover ways to take care of our hearts and brains while practicing kindness, gratitude and learning to ways to de-stress. Plus, we have the chance to earn PE equipment for our school!  Our goal this year is 5,000.  Our Glen Allen family raised over that amount last year and I know if we all work together, we can reach that amount or even exceed it.  Also, if you are planning on participating in the event on 2/27/25, please sign up online and then turn in your permission slip to stay after school by 2/21/25.  Mrs. Lucas will send home the event parent letter/permission form which will include many details.  Look for this letter via parent square or an email from your classroom teacher.   All donations will be online this year and will be accepted until Monday, March 3rd. I will have an one hour stations event from 2:30-3:30 at Glen Allen Elementary.   It will be a heart pumping workout with Mrs. Lucas.  Mrs. Lucas needs parent volunteers to help with the event.  If you can volunteer, fill out the HCPS volunteer information as soon as possible and look for the signup genius that will be sent home later in another parent square or email. Join in the fun with friends while supporting the AHA and help us support the cause!
