Randall (Randy) Mangum, age 59, went to be with Jesus on Monday, June 24, 2019 after suffering from a heart attack. Randy was born March 1, 1960 in LaSalle, Illinois. While he lived in many places during his lifetime, some of his favorite memories were made during his time spent in Panama during his childhood. He moved to San Antonio in 1979 and began working at USAA. It is here where he would eventually meet his wife Sandra. If our life is measured by how much we give, Randy’s life overflowed. He was a man who gave everything for everyone. He was a man with endurance who was known for his commitment. From starting in the mailroom at USAA at 19 years old, to becoming a director by the end of his 40 year career. A husband of 31 years. A dedicated, steadfast and affectionate father. A mentor and friend to all. He was a rare combination between the life of the party and knowing what was most important in life—his family, his work and his friends. He loved going to Spurs and Cowboys games, spending a day at the pool with his family, spending a day grilling and celebrating a holiday with his friends. He will be missed deeply by many for his fun-loving personality and his generous heart.
