I am participating in the FUNraise for Heart, FUNraise for Stroke event in support of the American Heart & Stroke Association. I am raising funds as I tackle a Grand Canyon Rim-To-Rim hike; 23.9 miles in extreme canyon heat and elevation on Saturday, June 15th. 

I am dedicating this event to my good friend Bob Tawoda's son Cooper, who was born several years ago with a rare congenital heart defect called pulmonary atreia & hypoplastic right heart syndrome. Today, thanks to several surgeries, lots of love, great doctors and the help of the American Heart Association support network, Cooper is living a great life and healthy.
