My Walk is Why!

"Does lightening strikes twice"?

It recently did for me and our family after a long and healthy run!

On February 18th after enjoying a wonderful and somewhat snowy spring day in the Old Port, Gail and I returned home after a great visit with my sister Milissa and her husband, Fred.  Gail and I pushed some snow around (I know, I broke a very important rule for Heart Survivors) and became very dizzy, fell unconscious only to be revived by my ICD after a very long 13 seconds!

The culprit...a blocked artery (95%) quickly repaired by a new and improved stent since my last Angioplasty & Stent 18 years ago.

My continued participation in the Heart Walk reminds me of the importance of Heart health, promoting fun ways to be physically active and making healthier choices every day.

My recent Heart event, is a clear reminder of how important the                    work of the American Heart Association is.

Please consider helping the Hatem Family reach our lifesaving fundraising goals by donating today.

Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.

Thank you in advance for your support!
