The American Heart Association is proud to have Bob Isaksen, Long Island Market President of Bank of America as 2017 Chair.


As Market President, Bob Isaksen serves as Bank of America's local enterprise leader throughout Long Island. With a goal of delivering one company to clients and customers, Bob works across the region to connect Bank of America's business lines to deliver integrated financial services to individuals, families and businesses.


He also leads Bank of America's corporate social responsibility work in the region, which leverages the unmatched capabilities of the company to help partners, people, communities and a broad client and customer base more effectively address a wide range of issues.


In addition to serving as Market President, Bob is also the Business Banking Market Executive for Long Island. Based in Melville, he leads a team of client relationship managers to deliver strategic financial advice and solutions to help locally-based small to mid-sized companies grow, improve cash flow, manage payments, and invest for the future.


Previously, he served as Market Executive for the NY/NJ/PA Healthcare and Institutions business. More recently he was the Senior Credit Products Manager in Specialized Industries. This included our Northeast Healthcare and Institutions and National Sports Finance teams.


Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he held a number of line and credit positions at various legacy banks. While at Fleet Bank, Bob held a number of positions including, Senior Commercial Lending Officer for the Metro New York/New Jersey Middle Market business and team leader for a Long Island Middle Market team. At NatWest Bank, he was Division Senior Credit Officer forthe National and Structured Finance Divisions. The National Division focused ona national corporate lending practice and also included NatWest's for-profit national healthcare specialty.


He earned his BA in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta and MBA in Finance at Pace University's Lubin Graduate School of Business.


Active in the community, Bob serves on the board of the Long Island Association, Cold Spring Harbor Labs Corporate Advisory Board, Long Island Housing Partnership, Advancement for Commerce Industry and Technology (ACIT) and HIA-LI.


A native of Setauket, Long Island, he resides there with his wife, twin sons and daughter.
