Elizabeth’s Story

Elizabeth is a typical 11-year-old who loves being with friends and family, biking, camping and anything that involves being outdoors. She is also a great athlete, thriving in gymnastics and soccer.

She was born with heart condition called 'Aortic Stenosis/Bicuspid Valve' and continues to be monitored by her Cardiologist at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Heart Defects can happen to anyone and range from Mild to Life Threatening. We are very fortunate that Elizabeth’s condition is mild but it is there and she will always have it - Awareness is Key!
