Event Schedule
7:30am - Festival Opens
8:40am - Opening Ceremonies
9:00am - 5K & 1-Mile Walk/Run

This year we have moved our survivor area to be inside of Fisher Pavilion next to our Super Teams. There will be refreshments and you can pick up your hats (white for stroke, red for heart) and capes for the kids!

Participants that have raised $100 or more get a 2017 event shirt! We will be giving out shirts at the walk this year. If you are part of a VIP Company or Community Team your shirts will be available in Fisher Pavilion. All others can pick up their shirt at the festival near the Start/Finish line before or after the walk.


Parking Information
Various metered street parking and parking garages such as:

5th Ave Garage on the corner of 5th and Harrison St.
Mercer Street Garage on Mercer St. between 3rd Ave N and 4th Ave N
1st Ave Garage on 1st Ave between John St. and Thomas St.
EMP lot on the corner of 5th Ave N and Harrison St., just North of the EMP


We are looking for volunteers to help set up, tear down, and everything in between. There are opportunities to help the Heart Walk on Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14. Sign up today!

What is the cost of registration?
Registration is free!

How long is the walk?
The Heart & Stroke Walk is a 5K or 3.1 mile non-competitive walk. Survivors have the option to walk the 1-mile survivor route, in place of the 5k route.

Are there any kids activities?
Yes! A Kids Zone will be available.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, leashed dogs are welcome at the Heart & Stroke Walk. Please help us keep the Seattle Center pristine and clean up after your pet.

Will water be available?
Yes, there is one water station along the walk route and one within the festival area.

Where are the bathrooms?
Restrooms are located at the event expo site, and portable restrooms will be located on the route.

Is the event stroller and wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Heart & Stroke Walk is an event for the whole family! Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.

Are there VIP perks?
Top Walkers who fundraise $1,000 or more will recieve special perks at the event, including an invitation to our VIP Breakfast the morning of the walk!

What if it rains on the day of the event?
The Heart Walk will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions we will notify participants via the website about the status of the event.
