Thank you so much for taking your time out to donate to The American Heart Association. I have been interning with them in Chicago for the last year, and they are an incredible organization to work for. They have impacted millions of lives by educating, helping fund research, and teaching CPR (just to name a few)!
For those of you that dont know, I moved to Chicago last March to get my masters in nursing. It has been an incredible experience so far, and am so grateful for what Chicago has offered. I teach fitness classes at Flywheel Sports, an indoor cycling studio to help pay for school as well as intern with the AHA.
Heart disease and stroke prevention is dear to me as my father died of a stroke only a few years ago. We have to take power in our own hands, and help in any way we can in order to decrease the prevalance of these diseases. It is vital to recognize the importance of eating right and exercising, and the AHA helps spread that message.
I'm so excited I get to have the privillage of running this race and the opportunity to help the American Heart Association on their journey saving lives.
