I’m excited to announce that I’ll be continuing to help raise money for a charity that is extremely important to me, the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. The ASA works to fight agaisnt stroke and honors both the survivors and loved ones lost to America’s No. 5 leading cause of death. The funds raised go towards important stroke research, education, and advocacy programs
In September of 2015 I had what was classified as a rare spinal stroke (only 1.25% of the approximately 795,000 people in the US who suffer from a stroke per year). After much time and physical therapy, I am extremely fortunate to be where I am today. But others are not so lucky, as stroke is the No. 1 cause of paralysis in the United States. That’s why it’s a privilege to be running on behalf of this organization once again and raising both donations and awareness.
Thank you for supporting the AHA/ASA. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
