This October, I will be running the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in support of the American Heart Association in memory of my grandfather, Bev Richardson. I'm excited for the opportunity to train with this team and am thrilled to help represent an organization that has had such a meaningful impact for so many.
I lost my grandfather, Bev, on December 21, 2010, due to complications from cardiac arrest. A gregarious man with an infectious laugh, Bev's zest for life knew no bounds. His presence is missed at every family gathering, milestone and holiday, but his memory lives on in our hearts.
Though no one can replace my grandfather, I'm hoping to help the American Heart Association's running group to raise money for research, education and preventative initiatives to help educate and prevent future heartaches for other families and friends.
I've committed to raise $1,500 for the American Heart Association and would love your help along the way as I work to achieve - and hopefully exceed - my goal! Here's to "running with heart!"
Thank you for supporting American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
