Wow!! 80 days and counting down. Week eight of training has started. We have already exceeded my goal thanks to so many very generous donations. Please don't stop!! Lets keep things rolling!! Thank you for supporting the American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Please help me raise monay and awareness. I run this year in honor of my father, Jim,who recently passed away after an long and courageous battle with CHD and CAD. Many of you know my father and have stories about his love for life and his generosity.Your help in keeping his name alive through the Ameerican Heart Association is greatly appreciated..
As for me, I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) in December, 2015. After undergoing quintuple bypass surgery, I vowed that this disease would not get the best of me. I lost 125 pounds and became a runner. I now run to stay alive as well as keep alive the memories of those that lost their lives to this terrible disease.
In 2017, I ran my first marathon, In NYC no less. This year, 2018, I will be running the Chicago Marathon with the American Heart Association. Please donate and help me meeting my fundraising goal.
