Hello Family and Friends,
On October 7th, 2018, I am running The Bank of America Chicago Marathon in support of the American Heart Association. The AHA is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organizations dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, the organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters. Through fundraising efforts, the AHA funds innovative research, fights for stronger public health policies and provides critical tools and information to save and improve lives. They strive to improve the lives of all Americans by providing public health education through science-based treatment guidelines.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the U.S. and every 2 seconds, someone around the world dies from cardiovascular disease. This disease touches the lives of so many people, including my own family, so I have chosen to take on this challenge and make this commitment to train and run for the American Heart Association.
If you would like to support me in my training and my pledge to the American Heart Association, please consider donating to this cause. Anything you can give to help me reach my goal of raising at least $1,500 is deeply appreciated! All of the money will go directly to the American Heart Association to further their work.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions at all!
