Chief and I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far you guys totally rock! So far the ride has raised almost $300,000 If you wanted to contribute and had not done so yet please do you have until Saturday to help Us reach our $350,000 ride goal for this year
Statistics tell me you or a loved one has been affected by heart disease. I started fundraising for the American Heart Association in 2004 to make a difference for my Dad. The quality of his "Golden Years" was tarnished due to heart disease until the day he passed in 2012. I vowed back then to make a difference for him and everyone else who has lost the fight or whose life has been forever changed by heart disease and stroke.
This year Chief and I are riding in support of my Husband John. He had quadruple bypass surgery in 2017 and is alive today because of all the medical advances funded by the AHA.
The funds we raise are desperately needed to fund critical cardiovascular disease research and education. Every year I am amazed at the new medical advances our money has made possible. The Charity navigator has ranked AHA as a 4 star organization (out of 4) with a 2017 ranking of 91.47. The areas audited are Financial, Accountability and Transparency. They do an exceptional job putting your money to work directly for the cause.
Together we will fight our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers—heart disease and stroke. Major fundraising events like the Beach Ride we can make a difference. This year we expect to raise $350,000 over our 5 day event. Through education and research the American Heart Association is working to build healthier lives.
Thank you for supporting American Heart Association. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Wishing you happy, healthy trails - now and always,
Lindy & Chief
