By participating in Kids Heart Challenge, our students will learn how to keep their hearts, bodies and brains healthy while helping kids with special hearts live longer, healthier lives.
It's a fun and meaningful way for our students to learn lifelong habits of health and helping others, while supporting and earning rewards for our school.

Here at EEHK Elementary, we have our own Heart Hero, Dash Burr. He was born with 5 congenital defects. Even though he had all the necessary surgeries to fix his defects, it still didn't end up supporting him enough. He went to St. Louis Children's Hospital in August of 2024, and received his new heart in August 2025. Dash returned home on September 17, 2025, his 10th birthday! We are excited to have Dash back at school with us as he continues to improve and get stronger.
