Ms. Sayles and Mrs. Briones are so excited for another year of learning how to stay heart healthy as well as different and exciting ways to jump rope! Our goal this year is to support the American Heart Association as much as we can through optional fundraising. All students will be participating in heart health lessons and learning jump rope skills in PE classes. The kids will have celebration days February 9th and 16th during their PE classes as a culminating event. They will work on their personal records for individual and group jumping, as well as perform routines that they create in class that day. Students will not earn individual thank you gifts this year at Cascadia. Instead, our school will be receiving some recess equipment after the event is over. However, any students that raise $50 or more will receive a Jump Rope for Heart glow in the dark T-shirt from the American Heart Association. All Cascadia students will receive a mid-event mission reminder to thank them for being heart heroes.
Thank you for your support of this great program and of PE at Cascadia!
Be happy, Be healthy!
