I absolutely adore my brother, Reid! He's not just an incredible sibling, he's also a survivor of ALCAPA, a rare congenital heart defect. Doctors discovered his condition when he was just three months old, and he bravely underwent open-heart surgery to repair his tiny, struggling heart. Today, Reid is thriving as a big brother, full of energy and joy, and I love every moment we spend playing games together!
With the Kids Heart Challenge, I'm on a mission to raise awareness and funds for children with special hearts, supporting lifesaving research and offering hope to families impacted by heart disease and stroke.
Along the way, I'm learning how to be a lifesaver myself: mastering Hands-Only CPR, recognizing the warning signs of stroke, and discovering how to protect both heart and brain health. Every step I take helps kids with congenital heart conditions live longer, fuller lives... like my #1 brother! :)
