I'm fundraising in honor of my beautiful mom, Dr. Christine Thorne, whose 59th birthday would have been on August 19th. On August 16th, in celebration of her life and to raise awareness about heart disease, we'll be participating in the Central Ohio Heart Walk!

Since losing my mom in 2023, I’ve been looking for ways I can honor her memory and help protect other families from experiencing a similar loss; cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death for women in the United States, yet gaps in clinical care still persist.
