I walk as a survivor and remember all who continue to live day by day with cardiovascular concerns. We have the gift of a 2nd chance in life. Our heart is a major organ, hearing the sound of its beats is a treat. With advance science, technology and the will to live, we must carry on the legacy for years to come.
It's been 44 years since the onset of my symptoms and diagnosis of Rheumatic Fever. On January 15, 1992 my heart stopped during a procedure but CPR changed my life. Now I'm surviving 33 years later since my corrective open heart surgery on January 27, 1992. Today, I live with the St. Jude Mechanical Valve and repaired aorta valve and that's the summary of my glory and story.
You can save a life by taking action to learn CPR. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. \u200b
Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. \u200b
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today by joining our team or donating towards our goal. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
