If there's two things you need to know about our Cardiac Rehab Team, it's that we LOVE our patients and we LOVE to make rehab fun.

 

Receiving a cardiac diagnosis can greatly impact a person's life in many ways. All of a sudden you're being told to change your diet, start exercising, manage stress better-- as if life isn't already just hard enough.

 

We are grateful for the opportunity to come alongside people to make these changes less intimiating. To work towards making better lifestyle changes to reduce their risk of reccurring events. 

 

In the past, funds raised from the Heart Walk have led to scientific breakthroughs like pacemakers, cardiac stents, and artificial heart valves that keep people alive longer- and Duke actually gets to see some of that money in research that we do within our own health system!
