In January 2021 I experienced a catastrophic life changing event. I had a stroke. Since that time, through therapy, community, and faith I've been able to rebuild my life, but my recovery is a lifelong journey.

The goal of Team Miles of Hope is to help raise funds that will support the groundbreaking research championed by the American Heart Association. In addition to helping the medical community learn more about the causes of strokes and cardiac events to and preventative measures to save lives, the American Heart Association also provides much needed support to impacted families. From educating to providing guidance on life services, the American Heart Association has taken the helm in creating a holistic approach to recovery for survivors and their families.

It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments.
