Come join the Heel-Bent and Homebound Brooks Home Health Heart Walk team!

We all have a story when it comes to stroke and heart disease. Maybe you have high blood pressure, or perhaps you or a loved one has suffered a heart attack or stroke. For me, my motivation for this event is deeply personal. Our family lost a pillar of our lives—Jan, my mother-in-law—a few years ago. She was at her Masters swim practice, training as usual, when she suffered a stroke. She was rushed to a hospital in Melbourne, Florida, and later transferred to Brooks Hospital for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, two months later, the effects of the stroke claimed her life.

Everyone reading this can probably relate to my story above, as stroke and heart disease have likely touched your life in some way. Come walk with us on Saturday, October 4th—whether it’s in remembrance of a loved one, in support of your own health, or simply for fun and exercise. Whatever your reason, we’d be honored to have you on our team.

The walk is pet-friendly, so bring your dogs; feel free to invite your family and friends too!
