It’s often said that heart attacks are the number one silent killer—and last October 14, 2023, this heartbreaking reality touched our lives in the most profound way. Our beloved Natasha Collins was taken from us far too soon, silently suffering cardiac arrest as she slept. This walk is not only a tribute to her beautiful spirit, but also a commitment to saving the lives of others.
Natasha, or “Tasha,” dedicated her life to lifting up those around her. As a Westchester Probation Officer, she gave hope and guidance to countless individuals. As a devoted mother, daughter, sibling, and friend, she was the heartbeat of our family and community—always ready with a helping hand and a loving smile.
We invite you to join us in honoring Tasha’s legacy by taking meaningful steps toward heart health and community readiness. Cardiac arrests strike unexpectedly—in homes, workplaces, on athletic fields, and in our neighborhoods. The difference between tragedy and survival is often the readiness of those nearby. By coming together, we can empower our community with lifesaving skills and resources.
Every walker, every dollar, every act of support ensures more people are trained in CPR, more research is funded, and more lives are saved. Let’s unite, take action, and make a real difference—just as Tasha did every day.
I walk to save lives. Join our team or donate today. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers, and honor Natasha by continuing her legacy of compassion and help.
