Join Me in the 2025 Greater Maryland Heart Walk ? Because Every Step Matters

I walk because I care.

Heart disease and stroke have deeply impacted my life. At just 44 years old, my father passed away from a massive heart attack. I often wonder if knowing the signs earlier could have helped save him. Now that I?m 44 myself, I?m reminded daily of how precious life is and how important it is to truly live it to the fullest.

My mother?s story is just as powerful. At the young age of 37, she suffered a stroke with no underlying health issues. Doctors couldn?t explain why it happened. Today, she lives with limited mobility on the left side of her body?but her spirit remains unshaken. Twenty-five years later, she continues to smile, laugh, and love life with incredible strength and grace.

I walk for them. I walk for everyone who has been affected by heart disease and stroke. I walk to raise awareness, to fund life-saving research, and to make a difference in someone?s life.
