However, we found out that Alysha has a brain disease called Moya Moya, which affects 1 in 1,000,000 people. She underwent two brain surgeries, a second stroke, and a third brain surgery. She was in a medically induced coma for a week and a half. And, last year, September 2024, she crossed the finish line one month from hospital discharge.

A year of healing and growing has helped us tremendously. We are PROUD of and GRATEFUL for all of the folx who took care of us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We are excited to cross the finish line in 2025 and continue celebrating Alysha-our one in a million miracle.
