Based on the issues related to the coronavirus in Hawaii and in taking the recommendations from both the CDC and the Governor’s office, we will be transforming the Maui Heart Walk, previously scheduled for April 18, into a virtual event! Our team is working diligently to make plans for a fun, creative and engaging virtual Heart Walk experience, and we will share updates as soon as we can.

We know you were excited about attending the Heart Walk on April 18th and helping make it the best it can be. We hope you will be just as excited with our virtual event!

The health and safety of our colleagues, volunteers and supporters is our top priority. Our hearts go out to the individuals, families and friends who have been affected by this COVID-19 threat. Many of our volunteers and dedicated supporters are healthcare providers who are working tirelessly to plan, prepare for and ultimately lessen the potential impact that the COVID-19 virus could have on our community. We are so grateful for their dedication and service and we wish to support them in every possible way.

We thank YOU, our incredible community, who have given so much time and energy to ensure our Maui Heart Walk is an amazing experience. We would also like give a huge mahalo to our sponsors, donors, and volunteers who have generously given through the Maui Heart Walk to improve the health of our ohana.

We know that many of you have questions around how the coronavirus impacts individuals with underlying health issues, such as cardiovascular disease. The American Heart Association will continue to update this web page with coronavirus health information and tips to help people keep up their heart healthy habits amid virus concerns.

We are sorry we won’t be seeing you in person on April 18, and we appreciate your patience, understanding and support as we adapt our plans. Be on the lookout for more information, take care and stay safe!
