I’m excited to chair this year’s Orange County Heart and Stroke Walk. For me, it’s personal. After years of high stress at work – and some other unhealthy decisions, in 2018 I suffered from atrial fibrillation and a prolapsed mitral valve. The work of the American Heart Association saved my life.

Andrew Soffa picThe American Heart Association has been able to do some pretty remarkable things. They fund scientific breakthroughs – like the ring that was implanted in my heart to repair my mitral valve that’s keeping my heart beating today, advocating for healthier communities, ensuring patients are receiving the best care possible in hospitals and clinics, and meeting people where they are with relevant & science-based health messaging.

However, there’s still so much more to be done and that’s why we need your continued support to participate, and donate, to the Orange County Heart and Stroke Walk on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Hope to see you there.
