Today's economy and tomorrow's wellbeing depend on innovations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Women make up half the workforce but continue to be underrepresented in STEM fields. Through STEM Goes Red, the American Heart Association is working to help build the pipeline for the future and engaging more women in creating solutions for women that address issues unique to women. The program draws from the Association's strong legacy of science, education and discovery to help propel young women into rewarding STEM careers.

Within STEM Goes Red, there is a unique opportunity for professionals at all stages of their career and across every aspect of STEM to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these promising students. As a STEM Goes Red mentor, professionals share their experience and insight, inspiring the next generation. Beyond investing in the students, Mentors with Heart raise dollars to support not only the AHA's life-saving mission and work within STEM, but to help provide scholarships to STEM Goes Red students, further supporting their dreams.
