Our team is walking and running for all of our amazing congenital heart patients and families.  Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defects and affect about 1/100 people.  I may be biased, but I have the best job in the world to care for "heart warriers" and their families. 

In adults, Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide and stroke ranks second globally.  Each of us almost certainly has family members who have been affected by heart disease or stroke. 

The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy and inspiration. People unified in support of a single goal: to see a world free of heart disease and stroke.
