When the statistics hit home and you are challenged to defy the odds and  FIGHT WITH someone that you love to be more than "just a number", heart disease becomes very personal.

My mother continues to be an inspiration and a FORCE  of FAITH and RESILIENCE. She has navigated a diagnosis of heart disease by LEARNING MORE and challenging herself to DO MORE -RADICALLY changing how she MOVES, EATS and SLEEPS!!

Being the mother of TEN CHILDREN and over 20 grandchildren, she FIGHTING FOR FAMILY! We are MORE THAN OUR GENETICS!!!

She is LIVING LIFEESTYLE CHANGES and I could not be prouder to call her "MOM". 

WE CAN CHANGE THE STATISTICS HERE IN LOUISIANA-ONE LOVED ONE AT A TIME!!

Heart disease is still the no. 1 killer and stroke ranks no. 5 in our nation.
