As you may know, two years ago we lost my father-in-law to heart disease. For many, it can be a silent disease that sneaks up out of nowhere. Suds, as he was affectionatly known, was an avid cyclist and was a surprising victim to heart disease.
I am riding to honor his legacy and support his passion for cycling while also bringing awareness to how heart disease affects lives all around us, including our own. That's why I am participating in CycleNation with the American Heart and Stroke Association.
I want to transform more lives through healthy living. High-energy cycling is one way. Heartfelt giving is another.
We need funds to help the American Stroke Association and American Heart Association save lives from heart disease and stroke, two of the nation's leading killers. The funds I'm raising will go directly to groundbreaking initiatives like funding research, education, CPR training, pro-health legislation and more.
I would love to count you as one of my enthusiastic CycleNation supporters. Please give what you can today. It really can help save someone's life tomorrow.
Thank you in advance for supporting me and my team.
