Emma was only 23 when she had a stroke during spin class. After her symptoms were initially overlooked, she had a heart procedure to correct the root cause and went through months of therapy and cardiac rehab. Aside from minor cognitive changes and a weakened grip, Emma has mostly returned to a normal life — but not everyone is that fortunate.
