I am Team Captain & riding with my Team (HeartThrobs) at a CycleNation event and we need your help to make an impact in our community. Personally, my loved-ones (parents, parents-in-law, husband, cousins, friends) have been impacted by heart disease and have received excellent healthcare. I am riding to raise funds & promote education about heart health, health care, prevention, CPR, research, and living a life of wellness.
As a healthcare practitioner and professor, I treated post-stroke and cardiac patients and witnessed the impact of illness on the quality of life. I educated students about the same, aiming to instill a prevention-mindset, to promote research, and to model service to the community & an excellent rehabilitative-approach.
