I am participating this year to support survivors like my mom, who is pictured here with my two girls. The American Heart Association fights for a world of longer, healthier lives - including mom - or as my girls like to call her - Grammy.
Without the American Heart Association my mom would not be with us today. In December she went through an open heart aortic valve replacement. This procedure was developed through research from the American Heart Association.
Each and every day I see firsthand just how the Heart Association invests in our local community and helps save lives. Each and every dollar helps make a difference and fight the world's #1 and #2 causes of death - cardiovascular disease and stroke.
