At the age of 32, I experienced a small stroke due to a PFO (patent foramen ovale), an opening in my heart. Thankfully, I recognized the warning signs and received treatment quickly, allowing me to recover without any lasting effects. I've since benefited from medical advancements that closed the opening with a minimally invasive procedure.
