So, this profile pic is from my first-ever spin class back in Sep 2017. My expression matched what I was thinking in that moment: "Why did I agree to this?". I was tipping the scales at 255lbs, and as I looked around the studio, it was very evident that I was the only rider with a BMI in the "morbidly obese" category. But, not only did I survive that spinning session, but I kept going. That experience kicked-off a multi-year journey to become more healthy and improve how I felt. Heart diseases run in my family, so I became determined to continually improve my habits and not become another unfortunate statistic.
I suspect that you also have loved ones who have been affected by strokes and heart diseases. Now is our chance to make a difference by financially supporting the life-saving mission of the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association.
On Sep 30th, I'm riding in a CycleNation event with several of my Leadership Cincinnati classmates and we need your help. Please consider making a donation. Together, we have the power to stop the cycle of stroke and heart disease!
Thanks so much!
