Here in Texas, the urgency is real.
• Stroke is the #3 cause of death for women.
• Our state is part of the southern “stroke belt.”
• And over 61% of stroke deaths in Texas are women — women like our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and colleagues.

Those numbers aren’t just statistics to me. They’re reminders of why this work matters and why I can’t do it alone.
