Thank you for visiting Marilyn's Memorial Page. This page was created by her grandson, Justin, shortly after Marilyn suffered a stroke. Unfortunately, Marilyn lost her battle in recovery 12/30/2021 just 7 and 1/2 months after her stroke.

Ironically Marilyn suffered her stroke May 21 during Stroke Awareness Month.

Justin and "Team Marilyn" followed through with the dedication and first fundraiser.

In honor of Marilyn we will continue to raise funds annually for Stroke Awareness and for support of community organizations that help stroke survivors. Below is the original dedication created by Justin.

"I am participating in the American Stroke Association’s Tribute Program in honor of Marilyn Marshiano. I have a personal connection to this cause as my grandma Marilyn Marshiano suffered a left cerebellar hemorrhagic stroke on May 21, 2021 and I hope you will help me raise awareness and critical funds to help the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Marilyn Marshiano is the matriarch to a large, beautiful family and the wife of Gene Marshiano. Marilyn impacted all who crossed her path through her generosity, love for life, and a beaming smile. She also had a deep love for red wine and cooking making the most beautiful meals for the holidays or just a spontaneous Tuesday night with her grandchildren. Marilyn was also very active and you could be sure she would be in the gym with her daughter Jeannine multiple mornings during the week.

Therefore, in honor of Marilyn, the first responders, and all healthcare providers who have provided and continue to provide care I will be running the Heroes of America Marathon on May 28, 2022 with the goal of raising funds for research, caregivers, and families in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
