Thanks for stopping by to learn more about my cause and story. I am participating in the American Heart Association & American Stroke Association’s Tribute Program.
I was six years old when I found out my dad had passed away from a heart attack. Growing up without a dad was devastating and something I feel I’m missing out on every day. To be honest, I still struggle with the fact that he won’t see me grow up, he won’t be at my wedding, and he won’t ever meet my children. The thing is, my story and my struggle is not a unique one. In 2010, my dad was one of over 630,000 Americans to loose their life to heart disease. That means several million people were touched by a heart disease related death in 2010 alone. Millions of people in my exact position every. single. year.
As you know, I've dedicated the last year of my life to raising heart disease awareness. Part of my commitment to increasing heart health is fundraising for the American Heart Association; proceeds go toward life-saving research, community education, improved patient care, and more (all while honoring the memory and legacy of Todd Swift).
Please help me reach my goal and honor my father by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation today. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of SO many! It is easier than ever to support the fight against heart disease and stroke - America's No. 1 and No. 4 causes of death. You can make your donation online by clicking the donation link.
Any amount helps. I am grateful for your support!
With love and appreciation,
Sarah Swift, Miss Rocky Mountain
