Go Red for Women: A Story of Advocacy and Hope
As a nurse for four decades, I have dedicated my career to advocating for those in need. Currently, I serve as the Chief Nursing Officer in one of the hospitals in the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, I am the founding President of the Philippine Nurses Association of Emerald City in Seattle. My commitment to healthcare and community service has always been at the forefront of my life.
Unsurprisingly, my passion extends deeply to my daughter, Claire, a heart surgery/procedure survivor. Her ongoing journey with her heart health has shaped her life and became her greatest gift - bringing her sweet son, Milo, into the world, who is now a thriving toddler.
As she navigates her heart journey, knowing that she will undergo at least two more procedures in her lifetime, I am reminded of the power of Bold Research and Unstoppable Science. These advances have made miracles possible, like my daughter's resilience.
I am proud to support my daughter, who was nominated for the American Heart Association Woman of Impact for 2025. This recognition is not just for her; it is a call to action for our community. The Go Red for Women Movement is about every woman we love and cherish.
I invite you to join us in this important cause by supporting her nomination and contributing to the movement. Your donations can help fund vital research and initiatives that impact countless lives. Together, we can form a team that spreads awareness and empowers women everywhere.
