I'm proud to be on a team of changemakers making a real impact on the state of women's health.
Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. The American Heart Association Go Red for Women movement's Woman of Impact campaign is working to change that.
I'm honored to be a Woman of Impact for Go Red For Women.
I've witnessed too many women say, "I wish someone had told me the signs were different for us."
Did you know that most women still think of Cardiovascular Disease as a “man's disease.”
Here's what gets me fired up about this fight.
Women have been left out of research, testing, treatment, and funding for decades.
We've been underrepresented, undertreated, and undercounted.
But there's one thing women can always count on, each other.
I've dedicated my career to changing this story.
Through my years working in an elite cardiac rehab, I witnessed firsthand how awareness saves lives.
How one conversation about symptoms can be the difference between catching it early and catching it too late.
- Together, we can get more women involved in research.
- We can fight for better access to care and treatments that actually work for our bodies.
- We can create health solutions designed with women's unique needs in mind - supporting us through every age, stage, and season of life.
This isn't just about wearing red on February 6th.
This isn't just about sharing heart health facts on social media.
This is about all women connecting and committing to stand together against our greatest health threat.
The woman reading this right now could be the one who recognizes her symptoms early because of this campaign.
She could be the one who learns CPR and saves a colleague's life.
She could be the one who finally prioritizes that doctor's appointment she's been putting off.
The time is now.
