Lacy Leona Ferguson is a dynamic nursing professional and a 2015 Cum Laude graduate from Walsh University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After relocating to Wheeling, WV, in October 2015 with her husband, she launched her career in Critical Care, making impactful contributions in the Medical ICU at Wheeling Hospital and later at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital. In September 2023, Lacy embarked on an exciting new chapter in the Cardiac Cath Lab at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, focusing on Interventional Cardiology, Structural Cardiology, and Electrophysiology. Her goal with the Ohio Valley Women of Impact Campaign is not only to inspire others to care for their heart and advocate for women’s heart health, but also to increase the number of people who know CPR.
“…You’d be amazed at how many people I’ve cared for in the hospital who are living and breathing today because they were with someone who knew CPR and it saved their life. Every single person should know the steps in my opinion. I’m so excited to be a part of this campaign and share my love of health and wellness with my community.”
When she's not making a difference in the medical field and in her community, Lacy embraces an active lifestyle filled with CrossFit at Crossfit Unus Plus, hiking, and exploring her creative side through drawing and singing. A self-proclaimed Aldi enthusiast, she finds joy in decluttering, watching Jeopardy, nurturing her beloved orchid collection, and mentoring women across the state. Lacy is also a proud cat mom to Mufasa “Buddy,” a long-haired orange tabby, and Miss Tanzy, a short-haired tortie. Lacy has also held numerous pageant titles, most recently including Mrs. West Virginia America 2025 where she placed 2nd Runner Up at Mrs. America.
