For me, the fight against heart disease isn't abstract—it's deeply personal and runs in my family. My mother lives with a pacemaker and has needed a stent, a daily reminder that this silent threat is hereditary. Seeing her heart journey fuels my own commitment to health. That's why I run with Black Girls Run, to take proactive, powerful steps for my heart and my future.
This personal journey is exactly why I'm so honored to join the American Heart Association’s Women of Impact campaign. I want to turn my family’s experience into action and awareness for all women. Together, we can help change the narrative—from one of fear and silence to one of strength, prevention, and community care. Let’s make heart health a priority for every woman.
Help me make an impact!
