As the owner of Lovely You Aesthetics, it is deeply important to me that the work we do is meaningful and centered on caring for the whole woman.
My background as a labor and delivery nurse, followed by my work as a Family Nurse Practitioner focused on women's health, has shaped how I practice today. While I now work in medical aesthetics, my approach remains rooted in empowering women to care for themselves. What I have consistently seen is that when women feel better about themselves, they are more likely to engage in caring for their overall health and well-being.
Women's heart health is a critical part of that mission. Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in women, and risk often begins earlier than many realize. Pregnancy-related conditions such as preeclampsia can serve as early indicators of future cardiovascular disease, reinforcing the need for long-term awareness, prevention, and research focused specifically on women.
For these reasons, I chose to partner with the American Heart Association and accept the nomination as a Woman of Impact. This partnership aligns closely with my values-not only to raise awareness, but to raise essential funds for research dedicated to women and cardiovascular disease.
I am honored to support the Go Red for Women - Woman of Impact campaign and to use my platform to advocate for better research, better care, and better outcomes for women.
Thank you for standing with me in support of women's heart health.
