I am deeply honored to be part of the American Heart Association’s Woman of Impact campaign. Improving women’s heart and brain health is not only central to the work I do every day at Encompass Health—it is also deeply personal. Heart disease has affected close members of my own family, shaping my understanding of how suddenly and profoundly it can change lives.
Through this journey, I’ve become more intentional about my own heart‑healthy lifestyle, and this campaign has only strengthened my commitment to awareness, prevention, and action. I hope my involvement helps others recognize that small, informed steps can make a powerful difference.
Heart disease and stroke remain the leading causes of death in women, yet far too often they go unrecognized or undiagnosed. That is why the Go Red for Women movement is so meaningful to me. It raises awareness, empowers women to advocate for their own health, and fuels lifesaving research and education. I am passionate about helping women understand their risk factors, recognize warning signs, and feel confident taking charge of their health.
Through my Woman of Impact campaign, I am committed to helping make South Central Pennsylvania a healthier, stronger community. By bringing together leaders, businesses, healthcare professionals, and neighbors, we can raise critical funds and awareness that support prevention, education, and recovery. Together, we can save lives, support families, and create a future where every woman has the opportunity to live a longer, healthier life.
