This photo was taken just three weeks after my mom’s open-heart surgery. What started as a "simple" stint turned into a week-long hospitalization and a life-saving triple bypass. We were blindsided. The blockage was dire, and we spent weeks in a terrifying fog of setbacks and uncertainty.
Today, 10 months later, my mom—my "tiny warrior"—has nearly completed cardiac rehab and is doing phenomenal. We are so blessed that medical advances caught the severity of her condition in time, but the truth is: cardiovascular disease remains the #1 killer of women, yet women are still underrepresented in the very research that saves lives.
Why I’m a Woman of Impact:
To help ensure no other family is blindsided. Women have been underrepresented, undertreated, and undercounted in heart health research for too long. My mom’s advice is simple: "Pay attention to what you eat and drink, and exercise regularly." My goal is to turn that wisdom into action by raising funds for:
- Lifesaving Research: Closing the gender gap in clinical trials.
- Access to Care: Fighting for treatments tailored to women's unique needs.
- Awareness: Empowering every woman to be her own advocate.
Please support my campaign by donating here. Together, we can rewrite the future of women’s heart health.
