“I am deeply committed to advancing equal access to health, with a particular focus on improving outcomes in women’s health and overall well-being. I am dedicated to making a difference by ensuring all individuals, regardless of background have access to the resources and care they need and deserve. On a personal note, I want my daughter to have the same opportunities as my son to live their healthiest lives.” - Ginny
I’m honored to be nominated by the American Heart Association as a Woman of Impact, part of the national Go Red for Women movement, alongside an impressive group of changemakers. Heart health has impacted me personally but it's more than that, it’s a public health crisis:
• One in three women dies from cardiovascular disease each year.
• Despite these staggering numbers, only 38% of participants in cardiovascular research are women.
• Women are often underdiagnosed and undertreated due to research and care gaps.
Together, we have the power to change these statistics by raising awareness, advocating for equity in medical research, and funding groundbreaking education and research initiatives.
I am committed to using this platform to advance education, advocacy, and fundraising in support of the AHA’s mission to address these inequities and save lives through research tailored for women.
A bit more about me:
Ginny is a Managing Director and Head of GWM Americas Client and Field Services at UBS. In this role, she is focused on building the future of service by transforming her team into an extension of our Financial Advisor teams, using the UBS support functions and platforms as a lever to deepen client relations and drive advisor and client loyalty. Ginny plays an active role in the firm’s employee culture and diversity strategy, serving as chair emeritus of Americas All Bar None, a gender diversity employee resource group for over 3,000 members.
Having recently moved from New York City to Port Washington with her husband and two children (Gabriel - 6, Josephine - 3), she is actively engaged in her new community serving on two local non-profit boards aimed at providing access to early childhood education to support economically disadvantaged families and promoting the use of our local natural spaces as an accessible space for the community.
A bit more about my campaign:
Since 2004, Go Red for Women has been addressing awareness and clinical care gaps, funding lifesaving research, and advocating for transformational policies all to fight back against women’s greatest health threat, cardiovascular disease. But there’s still so much more work to be done, and that’s where I’m coming in. Women lift each other up and inspire one another – and, together with our male allies and impactful organizations like the American Heart Association, we can cultivate powerful, lasting change.
As a driving force in transforming women's health, Go Red for Women is committed to:
- Funding Science and Research: For too long, women have been underrepresented. In fact, less than 40% of research participants are women.
- Women’s Health Through the Life Course: As a woman ages, her risk for cardiovascular disease changes. Yet the majority of heart attacks and strokes can be prevented through education and healthy living.
- Bridging the Gap: Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women, yet women are underdiagnosed and undertreated. From receiving bystander CPR to facing inequities in care, women deserve better.
The team is driven to prevent heart disease and stroke, building awareness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and raising critical funds. Because every beat matters.
