Making a difference in the lives of our local women truly makes my heart happy.
Since the start of my career as a journalist, I've been a steadfast supporter of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement's Woman of Impact campaign.
Heart health has always been something quite literally, that has been close to my heart. My family's health history includes those who are diabetic and pre-diabetic. Research shows that people with prediabetes have an increased risk of heart-related health issues.
Thats why I am honored to be a part of this year’s nationwide class of changemakers. I'd be even more honored if you'd join me and my team in making an impact on women’s health.
We will be raising much-needed funds for Go Red for Women and working to improve the health of our communities.
Since 2004, Go Red for Women has been addressing awareness and clinical care gaps, funding lifesaving research, and advocating for transformational policies all to fight back against women’s greatest health threat, cardiovascular disease. But there is still so much more work to be done.
Together, we’re stronger against cardiovascular disease.
Together, we can drive real change.
Let's team up together!
