I am honored to announce that my daughter Dr. Toniya Marie Farmer has been nominated as a Woman of Impact by the American Heart Associations GO Red for Women campaign. I am grateful to share my daughter’s journey, a story of faith, courage, and God’s grace. Two years ago, she experienced a SCAD heart attack and cardiac arrest while she was driving and we were on the phone. In that terrifying moment, we leaned on prayer and trusted God’s protection. Thanks to immediate medical care and the 2 life-saving shock of an AED, she survived, and today, she is thriving with a mission to save lives.
My daughter now dedicates herself to raising awareness about women’s heart health. She promotes CPR and AED awareness , heart healthy living, and inspires women to listen to their bodies, honor their hearts, and embrace life boldly.
