I’m honored to be part of a team driving meaningful change in women’s heart health.
I’m raising funds for the American Heart Association because cardiovascular disease isn’t just a statistic — it’s personal. My dear friend, Dr. Toniya Farmer, is a SCAD Heart Attack Survivor whose life-altering experience opened my eyes to how unexpectedly and severely heart disease can strike, even in women who seem healthy. Heart disease runs in my own family, and I’ve witnessed the toll it takes on those we love. As an African American woman, it’s especially personal knowing our community is disproportionately affected by cardiovascular disease — yet awareness, education, and early detection remain limited in many of our communities.
Through the Women of Impact campaign, we are helping fund lifesaving research, education, and advocacy through the American Heart Association. In addition, funds will help expand CPR and AED awareness, address inequities in women’s heart care, and empower communities to choose heart-healthy living. I’m joining hands with Dr. Farmer not only in support of her journey, but in commitment to raising awareness, sharing resources, and funding solutions so that more women can protect their hearts and their futures.
I invite you to join me in this fight. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this message, helps save lives and strengthen the future of women’s heart health.
