The American Heart Association’s mission is deeply personal to me and my family. My inspiration begins with my mother-in-law, who spent 38 years as a Registered Nurse in Cardiology and over 20 years actively involved with the American Heart Association. Throughout her career, she dedicated her life to caring for heart patients—educating, encouraging, and empowering them to live healthier lives using the resources and knowledge provided by the AHA. I have seen firsthand the life-changing impact this work can have.
Standing alongside her as a Woman of Impact nominee is incredibly meaningful to me. Together, we are passionate about raising awareness around women’s heart health and cardiovascular disease—because too many women still don’t realize it is the number one killer of women.
As a mother of three amazing boys, my “why” is simple and powerful: I want to be there for them as they grow up. I want to cheer them on at every milestone, guide them through life, and model the importance of taking care of your health. Supporting the American Heart Association means supporting a future where families have more time together, more milestones celebrated, and more lives saved.
Thank you for supporting this mission and helping make a lasting impact for women, families, and future generations.
